Background

Cord blood (CB) is collected at the time of delivery in a 250 mL standard blood bag containing citrate-phosphatedextrose (CPD) anticoagulant (35mL/bag). The cord blood is processed within 24 hours of collection.

DONOR CRITERIA


  • Donors are at least 18 years old.
  • Donors are required to sign a procedure-specific consent form prior to the collection procedure.
  • All consents and protocols have been approved by an independent biomedical review board.
