Background

Different parts of the C57 mouse brain, including the cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum, are dissociated enzymatically and mechanically into suspension of single cells. Next, the cells are seeded, and the astrocytes are enriched in vitro, using specific medium and cultural conditions.
