AllCells provides patient samples of Autoimmune cells isolated from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Psoriasis, Type I & Type II Diabetic, Osteoarthritis and Multiple Sclerosis patients. Autoimmune plasma, autoimmune peripheral blood, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells are available from each disease type. These are available in frozen, fresh formats upon request.
Patient treatment history and clinical reports are available for each sample. This may include auto antibody analysis, clinical diagnostic scores (ACR, SLEDAI, etc).
Background |
Autoimmune Diseases arise from an inappropriate immune response of the body against substances and tissues normally present within the body. This disease may be restricted to certain organs or involve a particulartissue located in the body. Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases is typically with immunosuppression or medication which decreases the immune response. For a disease to be classified as an Autoimmune Disease there must be direct evidence from transfer of pathogenic antibodies or pathogenic T cells, indirect evidence based on reproduction of the autoimmune disease in experimental animals, or circumstantial evidence from clinical clues. Autoimmune specimens can be used in preclinical research, drug discovery, drug toxicity, biomarker development, and pre-selection of indication for clinical trials. |
